The Ray of Light exhibition in The Rotunda at Exchange Square: angled display walls with lit paintings, surrounded by indoor trees.

The problem

The collection’s kaleidoscope theme had to become one room: paintings and sculptures together, with the permits, print and opening day handled so the artist could stay with her guests.

What we did

We liaised with the venue, prepared the forms and permits, planned the day, and designed the 3D views, graphics, brochures and leaflets. Helpers and the opening-day setup were managed on site. We also rebuilt Rona Hu’s website around her biography, collections and past exhibitions, with a catalogue of the works and a page for each piece, opened from a QR code in the room.

The result

Paintings and sculptures shared one space on the night, and each work could be read on a phone without leaving the exhibition.
